exploration of limits

The first ever solo project we were asked to do on the course, was a zine. The requirements were very simple, the topic was completely free, whilst the creation process had to be specific. We were in fact asked to produce a series of at least 5 identical zines but were only allowed to photocopy so that we would stay true to the initial zine “movement”. born in the USA. I chose to focus on artist Lucio Fontana, but more specifically, on the conceptual side of his works. He said that his works were built upon an exploration of the canvas, almost as a discovery of a new dimension, a process he compared to the discovery of a new Cosmo. I, therefore, concentrated on the idea of allowing the reader to explore the pages of my zine.
