This was a university project. We were asked to choose an industry within the graphic design world and do a project based on it. Having always been fascinated by the world of the moving image, I decided to focus on Film&TV and more specifically Title Design.

I then decided to pick a show whose intro I didn’t like and try to redesign it. My choice was Breaking Bad. Although I think it’s one of the best TV shows out there, I felt the intro was underwhelming compared to the content and curation of the show.

To represent the main character’s traits as a cancer patient and drug lord, I decided to create photograms to replicate the look of X-rays and created compositions.

This was my first attempt at motion design, so although I’d probably do it differently now, the end result is definitely a more refined option to the original intro and a great first attempt at motion design.
