Roundabout Competition - Coldrerio

In 2014, during my high school years, one of the assignments was to take part in a local design competition. My classmate Elena Ottavi and I took part in the Coldrerio competition, which consisted of proposing a design to be placed on the local roundabout.

During our research, Elena and I discovered that the local graffiti community lacked a place where they could legally and openly express themselves. So we came up with the idea of creating a cement wall design, inspired by the mountains in the landscape, that would allow the graffiti to be seen from all angles. The idea included a proposal for recurring events throughout the year to celebrate the ‘writer’ community by simply repainting the walls each time.

We submitted the architectural plans and 3D model and were awarded 2nd prize.
