This was a university project. The brief was to choose an object, hack it and give it a new purpose through a set of instructions that we created.
I chose a more conceptual route and decided to focus on the value we as humans place on objects. Inspired by Marie Kondo, the Minimalists and the LATCH organisation system, I decided to create my own set of criteria to help people re-evaluate the value they place on objects.
I then developed a set of instructions, invited 6 of my closest friends to a home-built studio and asked them to bring 6 objects that met a few requirements. On set, I asked them to rearrange them according to different instructions, photographing each new order.
